I have lived and worked in many widely diverse areas (14 states!) as well as overseas, and bring a rich background of experience into my current practice, including sexual assault advocacy and support, domestic assault support, mental health crisis response, military crisis response, grief and loss support, community mental health counseling and social work outreach, intensive family services, school-based interventions (including 504/IEP planning), community education, and early childhood education.

I am trained in several modalities, and practice from an integrative perspective, pulling elements from a variety of methods that best suit each client. As no two individuals are exactly the same, I also believe that no counseling experience should be identical. I work collaboratively with my clients and their families to create and meet goals, identify strengths, and facilitate healing and growth in ways that best meet unique needs.

I am trained in EMDR, CBT, and DBT, and incorporate education about the underlying neuroscience of the brain, and various elements of play therapy, art, mindfulness, somatic and polyvagal work, to create a holistic counseling experience that is strength-based and designed to build a foundation that each person can take with them and continue to use in the future.
